When is the deadline?
The deadline is Friday, 15 June 2012.

What does it cost to take part?
Entering the “caravaning design award: innovations for new mobility 2012/2013” is free of charge for the exhibitors at the CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF 2012. The participant only bears the cost for the delivery and collection as well as the insurance of the registered products.

Who can take part in the competition?
Designers and manufacturers, whose products are available on the market and exhibited at the CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF 2012, are invited to participate.

What can I register?
Products that have been or will be launched on the market after 1 January 2010 and by 24 August 2012 can be registered.

Can I use prototypes to take part?
Prototypes are permitted if the product will be brought to market by 24 August 2012 or hasn’t been launched more than two years ago.

How many products can I register?
You can register as many products as you want.

How can I register for the competition?
At the password protected registration portal of the caravaning design award, you can register for the current competition and complete your application documents. There you can also find an overview of your submitted products as well as all documents you need for the registration. You can save your registration at any time and continue it at a later stage.

What information is needed for registration?
You need basic information on your product (product name, type, manufacturer, designer). The upload of texts and images is mandatory for the product's presentation during the adjudication and, in case of being awarded, for the entry in the designguide and the presentation of the awarded product in the exhibition.

In what form can a product be submitted?
A product can be submitted as an original exhibit, model/prototype, prints/charts or photos/film/multimedia presentations (CD/DVD).

When do I have to deliver the registered products?
The judging takes place on the grounds of the Messe Düsseldorf. The products must be delivered on Friday, 29 June 2012. Deliveries will only be accepted between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. In order for your entry to be recorded for logistic purposes, it is essential that you mark your product using the labels sent to you. Vehicles are able to access the hall through entrance 6.1, smaller products through entrance 6.19.

When do I have to collect the products?
The products must be collected on Monday, 9 July 2012 unless otherwise specified by the participant. Collection is only possible between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Do I need a transport insurance?
The products/exhibits are transported at the risk and cost of the participant. We recommend that participants take out transport insurance for entries.

How can I use the award?
The award logo can be used immediately after receiving notification of the prize and it can be used for the duration of the life cycle of the prizewinning product. The participant, i.e. the manufacturer and the responsible developer (designer or engineer) have the right to use the logo in conjunction with the winning product worldwide.

What is the designguide?
The designguide is a trade fair publication in which your awarded products will be featured. Please note that in case of winning an award, the information entered while registering is binding and will be used for the production of the designguide.

What happens in case of not being awarded?
Products that were not given an award, won’t be announced or published.
